From the family farm in Midway to entrepreneurship and being a youth coach in the heart of Weber County, Steve Van Wagoner is a testament to resilience, hard work, and a deep-rooted commitment to the community. Steve's childhood was defined by the rugged landscapes of Utah and the lessons learned on his family's small farm.

Growing up on the farm, Steve was no stranger to responsibility. He tackled chores ranging from mowing lawns to wrangling wayward animals, instilling a strong work ethic and a sense of purpose. But it wasn't just about the work; it was about the connection to the land and the people around him.

At 17, Steve answered the call to serve his country, joining the Marine Corps. His time in the Marines taught him the value of structure, discipline, and unwavering dedication, qualities that would shape his approach to life in the years to come.

After leaving the service, Steve returned to civilian life, carving out a path as an electrician and entrepreneur. From starting his own businesses to venturing into business mentorship to help others, he was able to live the best parts of the American Dream, all while staying true to the values instilled in him on the farm and in the Corps.

But Steve's story isn't just one of personal success; it's a story of community, of giving back, of building something greater than oneself. As a father and community soccer coach, he's been a mentor for countless young athletes, teaching them not just the game, but the importance of teamwork, resilience, and integrity.

Now, as a candidate for Weber County Commission, Steve is ready to take his commitment to the next level. He's determined to build a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Off the campaign trail, you'll find Steve alongside his wife, Carey, and their daughters Kathryn and Marilyn, enjoying the best of Weber County: family, community, and the outdoors. For Steve Van Wagoner, it's not just about the destination; it's about the journey, the people you meet along the way, and the difference you can make, one step at a time.
